For the sixth consecutive year since we opened our facilities in August 2010, at Alcaidesa Marina we are displaying the Blue Flag that certifies the high quality of our facilities.
This Thursday 27 of July, the mayor of La Línea de la Concepción, Juan Franco, together with the director of the Marina Antonio Valbuena, were in charge of its hoisting. Besides the Mayor of the city we were also accompanied by the deputy mayor Mario Fernandez; Juan Macías, delegate of Beaches, and Nacho Macías, municipal responsible for Tourism.
The granting of blue flags to marinas by the European Federation for Environmental Education (FEE) and the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC) aims to recognize their quality after a thorough analysis of the safety conditions, the environmental quality, the sustainable management, the user services, the social integration and the informative work of each port . Alcaidesa Marina has a great interest to make our waters have the quality that the city and its citizens deserve.
The environmental sustainability, which should take into account water quality, waste management prioritizing recycling, promoting sustainable transport, restricting traffic and parking motor vehicles in the port, except in authorized areas, energy efficiency and use of water, the use of organic products as far as possible and landscape integration, among others, is an aspect that Marina Alcaidesa has very present and for which we care daily.
We are proud that one more year the Blue Flag is displayed in our marina and that the city of La Línea can be proud of the marina that it has.
