The official opening of the new hardstanding area within Alcaidesa Marina boatyard was held on Tuesday 9th November. This new area has been completed in order to meet the ever increasing demand for our boatyard services. The investment ratifies Alcaidesa Marina commitment to improve the services offered to our customers.
The hardstanding area has been enlarged by nothing less than 6,000 square metres, which, when added to the previous 9,000 square metres, provides a total hardstanding area of 15,000 square metres. that the extension means that Alcaidesa Marina boatyard now has, one of the largest hardstanding areas in Andalusia. With this additional area the capacity of the yard has increased from being able to accommodate 80 boats to the current 140. The new area includes a second haul out well, which will enable the future use of two cranes at the same time.
Safety Improvements
The boatyard perimeter is protected by a modern perimeter security system based on an infra-red curtain that immediately alerts our team of security professionals to any suspicious activity. A new toilet module has been installed for the comfort of our customers. Finally, we are firmly committed to enhancing security, which is why we have reinforced the fire and CCTV installations increasing in the number of fixed and mobile cameras.
We expect to continue improving our facilities and services for next season.
