Alcaidesa marina recently had an unexpected visit from Pop & disco "ROYALTY" when music legends SISTER SLEDGE called in to say hello.

The girls were performing at the Gibraltar music festival but ahead of their gig found time to visit their friend; broadcaster Paul Breen-Turner who is a berth holder in the marina, there was great excitement on pontoon 10 as the girls arrived with some of the boats blasting out the bands biggest hit "We are family", Founder member Debbie Sledge said it was so wonderful to be in such a stunning part of the world & receive such a lovely welcome. The girls were even able to head out for a sail where the icing on the cake was being surrounded by hundreds of dolphins.

We would like to think that their visit to the marina helped put them in the mood for what turned out to be a packed arena for their stunning show; Sister Sledge may have been founded over 40 years ago but having sold millions of records all over the world & with hits like "lost in music; He's the greatest dancer; Frankie" & of course "We are family" they certainly remain in big demand; we wish them continued  success & hope they will call in to say hello on their next visit.
