The Summer Courses in La Línea de la Concepción organized by Citizens by Planet, along with Ecolocaliza and Ecowildlife Travel, as part of the Keep the Whales in La Línea project, are beginning. After several months of work, we are pleased to announce that Alcaidesa Marina will be the official sponsor of the event.

The courses will take place from July 10th to July 16th, both in-person at the La Línea de la Concepción Congress Palace and via live streaming for anyone around the world to join. There are a total of three courses: Introduction to the World of Cetaceans, Nature Photography on Land and Sea, and Reconnecting Territories: Nature Tourism as a Source of Entrepreneurship. These courses are endorsed by UNESCO.

This initiative is part of the Keep the Whales in La Línea Project, which was created to recover and exhibit the nine-meter skeleton of a common rorqual named Galadriel. The whale stranded on Santa Bárbara Beach in 2019 and will be publicly displayed in La Línea de la Concepción within the next ten months. The project aims to make the municipality an example of responsible cetacean observation and study.

So far, there are over 200 registered participants. Anyone can join by simply registering through the Citizens by Planet
