As the month of October is approaching and this month marks World Breast Cancer Day, the association APRON has launched an Awareness Campaign for the population, and in which Alcaidesa Marina will be participating. during the week of 19 October to 25 October APRON have organized various activities.

Since 2016, the Association of Oncological Problems A.PR.O.N. has been holding the Race for Women or the famous "pink tide" in La Línea de la Concepción, which has always been the last Friday in August. This year, due to the pandemic of the Covid-19, the organization of a group event is not possible.

For this reason and on the occasion of the World Breast Cancer Day, it has been decided to organize a campaign that has as its axis a Virtual Sports Event, which will include a series of parallel activities to broaden the awareness of breast cancer.

This Campaign that we will call A TU AIRE, is going to be formed by the following activities:

  • WORLD DAY OF BREAST CANCER VIRTUAL SPORTING EVENT.
  • EXHIBITION OF PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THE PARTICIPANTS.
  • DECORATION OF BALCONIES AND WINDOWS IN PINK.
  • ILLUMINATION IN PINK OF THE FACADES OF MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS.
  • INFORMATION TABLE ON 19 OCTOBER.

As this year's event is virtual, what we want is for participants to wear something pink, or even some of the T-shirts from the charity runs from previous years and send us their photos or videos so that during that week they can be uploaded to social media networks or we can upload them to our networks and tag them to APRON so that they can see everyone’s support for the event.

Also, as a novelty this year we thought it would be a nice idea to decorate our balconies or windows in pink. And in this way, we are adding to the support and visibility of all those affected by this disease.

In the following link you can register for the event with a donation of 5 euros, and should you so wish, there is also a box where you can make a larger donation.

We invite you to collaborate and to share the information in order that it may reach as many participants as possible.
