As we have previously notified, the Charity Weekend to be held within Alcaidesa Marina commences this Friday the 6th. The funds raised from the various events & activities planned for the weekend will go towards The Association Of Families of Alzheimer sufferers (AFA).
Today we have had the pleasure of hosting a informational visit to Alcaidesa Marina attended by the students of the La Linea Rowing Club School. Perhaps amongst them we have a future Olympic champion!!!
The extension works to the existing boatyard workshops commenced this week. Once completed the works will provide an additional 300m2 of workshops to meet the growing demand of companies wishing to provide additional specialist services to our boatyard customers.
During the week of the 19th to 23rd August Aventura Marina will be offering daily excursions departing from Alcaidesa Marina. The catamaran L’Atlantida, the only catamaran with a glass bottom for viewing, will be providing 2 excursions per day at 12.30 & 17.00 hrs, with prices of 25€ for Adults, 15€ for children (under 14) & FREE for children under 4 years old.
As part of the fund raising activities organized for the weekend of the 6th-8th September in favor of the Association of Families of Alzheimer Sufferers (AFAL), we are pleased to announce that Alcaidesa Marina will be organizing a Charity regatta/rally to be held on the 7th September.
Today 13th of August we have had the first of the 2 planned visits from the La Linea Youth Centre Summer Camp. Some 45 children, aged between 8 - 14 years, visited our installations with a view to experiencing at first hand the day to day running of a marina. Today the 2nd of August is the 3rd anniversary of our opening. We have celebrated the event with Mr. Degroot and Mrs. Ball who with their Yacht Carpe Diem I were the first to arrive at the marina this morning. They form an ever increasing group of valued customers who have permitted us to continue growing throughout our first 3 years, with the marinas occupancy for the first half of 2.013 showing
During the 6th, 7th & 8th of September we will be holding within the Marina, various Events & activities in order to raise funds for the Association of Families of Alzheimer Sufferers (AFAL Contigo). The program of Events is currently being finalised & we will duly provide you with a complete calendar of Events & activities in case that you may wish to participate and help with this fine cause.
