From land it seems there’s a clear line.
Europe on one side…
Africa on the other.
But if you think about it, that line doesn’t exist.
There’s nothing in the water marking where one continent ends and another begins.
It’s a border we’ve drawn.
Because in practice, this place has always worked differently.
For thousands of years, these waters have connected more than they’ve separated.
People, goods, cultures…
constantly crossing from one side to the other.
Even today, that relationship is very visible.
The lights you see on the other side,
the routes crossing the Strait,
the boats that don’t stop moving…
all part of the same landscape.
In fact, on clear days, the distance is so short
it’s hard to think in terms of “far”.
It’s more like… a nearby other side.
This place doesn’t work as a limit.
It works as a bridge.
One that’s been in use for thousands of years.
And that continues connecting stories every day.
And you… when you look to the other side… do you see a border… or something that’s always been closer than you thought?
