If you stay here for a moment… you’re going to notice something.

The wind.

And it’s no ordinary wind.

Two rule here: the Levante and the Poniente.

And they have completely different personalities.

The Levante comes from the Mediterranean.

It’s usually stronger, more humid… and sometimes covers everything in a kind of fine mist.

It can last for days.

And when it truly blows, it completely changes the sea… and the mood of anyone sailing.

The Poniente, on the other hand, comes from the Atlantic.

It’s cooler, cleaner…

it clears the sky and leaves incredible visibility, allowing you to see Ceuta and the Moroccan coast from here as if they were much closer.

It’s the one that makes everything seem easier.

For centuries, sailors haven’t just watched the sea…

they watch the wind.

Because here, you don’t decide when to leave.

It decides.

If you look now, you’ll see how ships enter and exit constantly adjusting to it.

Sails, engines, trajectories… everything changes depending on who’s blowing.

It’s almost like a choreography.

And the curious thing is that this place has a reputation for being unpredictable precisely because of that.

Two winds…

two ways of understanding the sea…

and a balance that never stays still.

And you… if you had to choose, would you prefer a day of Levante… or Poniente?
