Alcaidesa Marina took part in the III Annual Meeting of Companies Adhered to the Green Strategy, organised by the Port of Algeciras Bay Authority (APBA) and held at the Port of Tarifa, where companies and entities from the port community shared their progress in sustainability and environmental management.
The event began with a welcome address and a presentation of the APBA’s Green Office initiatives, followed by the keynote “Climate Change Adaptation Plan of the Port of Algeciras Bay: The role of the Green Office as an opportunity for adaptation”, delivered by Rafael Molina Sánchez, Director of the Centre for Leadership and Technology at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM).
Throughout the day, several companies presented their sustainability initiatives, including:
- Acerinox, with Rosa Ruiz Gómez (Department of Safety, Environment and Sustainability).
- Gabarras y Servicios, with María Carmen Buch López (Department of Purchasing, Quality and Environment Management) and Pedro Juan Marcet Vinaches (Board Member).
- EVOS, with Guillermo Ferrer, HSSEQ Manager.
The meeting also featured a collaborative session titled “Building the Green Strategy Together: Proposals from the Adhered Companies”, where participants shared experiences, challenges and opportunities to advance decarbonisation, waste management and energy efficiency in the port environment.
By taking part in this event, Alcaidesa Marina reaffirms its commitment to the objectives of the APBA’s Green Strategy, consolidating its position as a reference in sustainability, innovation and environmental best practices within the Strait’s port community.
