We can only be grateful to have participated in this adventure, not only as sponsors but as participants.  We have to thank, especially John and Lynda Alcantara (Boatshed Gibraltar) as the organisers.  The event exceeded expectations!

The rally is a non-competitive passage from Alcaidesa Marina with Tanja Marina Bay in Morocco as the destination. Alcaidesa Marina is located in a privileged place at the Strait of Gibraltar. This wonderful place has seen many adventures and surely many more will follow. We are willing, able and ready to repeat the experience.

It all began with a cocktail at the Alcaidesa Lounge Bar as part of the Skippers’ Meeting. This, together with a free night berthing for participants, was offered by Alcaidesa Marina. Then we had the magical arrival in Tanger, and the welcome that Tanja Marina Bay had prepared for us, the Champagne party,  the tourist routes around the city, 4×4 buggy excursions and the complimentary dinner by Tanja Marina Bay at the fancy dress party and the raffle awards and prizes. It was an experience better than any words can explain.

Thanks to all the Sponsors and participants, without them this event would not have been possible, we really enjoyed it!  We met the objective of raising a substantial sum for the Red Cross.

The date of the second Gibraltar – Morocco – Spain Charity Yacht Rally will be communicated shortly, but we anticipate that it could be at the end of May or first of June 2020 so that you can reserve the weekend and do not miss it!
