On the 15th & 16th of February the Provincial Sailing Championship for the Optimist Class, organized by the Real Club Náutico de La Línea & the Andalucian Sailing Federation, takes place in the waters next to the Poniente Baech. The event will be attended by more than 90 competitors representing 10 clubs from Andalucia and is the first of the three Events that comprise the Andalucian Championship in the Junior Category.

The event is sponsored by , Alcaidesa Marina, AC hotels, Novomag Polígono Náutico, APBA, EON, Coca-Cola, La Siesta Creativa and the sports office of the La Linea Town Hall.
