The acting mayor of La Línea de la Concepción, Juan Franco, accompanied by the councillor and municipal delegate for the Environment, Rosa Pérez, and Ana Morales and Tony Valbuena as representatives of Alcaidesa Marina, yesterday handed out the awards for the 7th Environmental Photography Contest, organised to mark World Environment Day by the local council in partnership with Marina Alcaidesa and the Cepsa Foundation.

The three winners were:

  • Rafaela Serrano Gallego, from the Monte Calpe Occupational Centre (Asansull), for her work "Bicheando".
  • Carla García Mauricio, from the Inmaculada School, for the photo "Junto reciclamos".
  • Lola Pavón Infante, from the Inmaculada School, for her work "Margarita".

The prizes were a laptop for the winner, an underwater camera for the runner-up, and a normal camera for third place. What's more, Alcaidesa Marina presented a special award for a photo taken at the marina, titled "Medio Ambiente y Puerto", to Myriam Madrid Galán, year three student at the Salesianos School. 

Finally, there was a prize draw for a mobile phone among all the students who took part in the contest.
