Brazil played football for Manchester United; Spurs; Coventry & was also a key member of Sir Bobby Robson's famous Ipswich Town team; he has been presenting the award-winning Alan Brazil sports breakfast on Talksport national radio in the UK for nearly 20 years.
"I love to come out to relax in the sunshine, in London I have to get up at 4 am weekdays to be ready for the show; it can be quite tiring at times," he said while on his visit to our Marina. Alan had come to visit his old friend ex Talksport presenter Paul Breen-Turner who is an annual berth holder, fortunately the weather provided perfect sailing conditions as they headed out on "PBTs" Corbin 39 sailing boat; there was also a chance to look back on years gone by "I actually played a friendly in Gibraltar with Coventry City years ago; I also remember being part of the Scotland squad that played in the 1982 world cup in Spain": who was the greatest player he had faced? "Kenny Dalglish without doubt, he was a master of his trade"! After a fine days sailing it was time for a few vinos on board with Ana Morales from our marketing department providing some excellent tapas; Mr Brazil & his wife decided to stay the night in one of the marinas new houseboats before returning to his holiday home in Marbella; we wish him continued success with the show & hope he will call by again soon.
